Privacy Policy

FunShare Inc. (hereinafter the "Company"), in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), establishes and discloses the following Privacy Policy in order to protect the personal information of data subjects and to handle related grievances promptly and effectively.

Article 1 (Purposes of Processing Personal Information)

The Company processes personal information for the following purposes.

  • Membership registration and management: confirming the intention to register, maintaining and managing membership status, preventing unauthorized use of the Service, and various notices and communications.
  • Provision of the Service: providing the Service, providing content, providing customized services, and identity verification.
  • Grievance handling: verifying the identity of complainants, confirming the details of complaints, contacting and notifying parties for fact-finding purposes, and notifying the results of processing.
  • Use for marketing and advertising (where consent has been given): developing new services and providing customized services, and providing information on events and promotions.

Article 2 (Items of Personal Information Processed)

  • Required items: email address, password, and name (or nickname).
  • Optional items: company name, contact number, and job title.
  • Items automatically collected during use of the Service: service usage records, access logs, cookies, access IP information, and payment records.

Article 3 (Processing and Retention Period of Personal Information)

  • The Company processes and retains personal information within the retention and use period prescribed by applicable laws, or within the retention and use period consented to by the data subject at the time the personal information was collected.
  • Member information: destroyed immediately upon withdrawal of membership. However, where retention is required by applicable laws, the information shall be retained for the relevant period.
  • Electronic commerce-related records: records of contracts and withdrawal of subscription for five (5) years, records of payment and supply of goods for five (5) years, and records of consumer complaints and dispute handling for three (3) years (Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce).

Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Company processes the personal information of data subjects only within the scope of the purposes specified in Article 1, and provides personal information to third parties only where the circumstances fall under Article 17 of the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), such as the consent of the data subject or special provisions of law. The Company does not currently provide users' personal information to any third party.

Article 6 (Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and Methods of Exercise)

  • Data subjects may exercise their rights with respect to the Company at any time, including the right to request access to, correction or deletion of, and suspension of the processing of their personal information.
  • These rights may be exercised in writing, by electronic mail, or by other means, and the Company shall take action without delay in response.
  • Where a data subject requests the correction or deletion of an error in their personal information, the Company shall not use or provide the relevant personal information until such correction or deletion has been completed.

Article 7 (Destruction of Personal Information)

  • The Company shall destroy the relevant personal information without delay when it becomes unnecessary, such as upon the expiration of the retention period or the achievement of the processing purpose.
  • Information in the form of electronic files: permanently deleted by a method that renders recovery and reproduction impossible.
  • Paper documents: shredded with a shredder or incinerated.

Article 8 (Use of Cookies)

  • The Company uses cookies to provide personalized services to users.
  • The Company uses Google Analytics and Naver Analytics to analyze service usage statistics; in this process, non-personally identifiable information such as visit records may be collected through cookies.
  • Users may refuse the storage of cookies through their web browser settings; however, doing so may cause difficulties in using certain parts of the Service.

Article 10 (Amendment of the Privacy Policy)

This Privacy Policy applies from its effective date, and where there are additions, deletions, or corrections to its contents in accordance with applicable laws and policies, the Company shall give notice of such changes through its announcements from seven (7) days prior to the effective date of the changes.
